Preparing for the trip Eindhoven - Barcelona

after 6 months of preparing it is almost time to leave to Holland where the big trip to Barcelona on the bike start.
I have to wait 16 days 6 hour and 20 min before I go to the airport but my bicycle is pact, my luggage is pact, and now its waiting and a bit training to keep myself fit.
the first week in Holland I stay with my daughter en granddaughter who I cannot wait to see and to hug.
and of course the rest of my family.
In that 1st week in Holland I have to bicycle with Harry (my buddy) to practice because we have to do this adventure together and we never trained together before.
when we are on tour we try to keep you up to date if we have wifi and tray also to send some pictures.
we will tell our story is English and Dutch.
WE hope you all will enjoy it.

Ja, ik kijk er naar uit, maar ook kijk ik er wel een beetje tegen op. Het is een hele trip (ruim 1900 km in 19 dagen). Op 1 juli a.s. gaan Jos en ik vanuit Eindhoven van start. De fietstassen zijn al een keer gepakt om te zien of alles mee kan wat mee moet. Vier tassen met in totaal een inhoud van 35 liter moet genoeg zijn. Jos heeft de route in etappes uitgezet en ik heb in/bij elke etappeplaats hotels gezocht, want er moet natuurlijk elke dag overnacht worden. Henk Gilsing heeft voor ons de benodigde kaarten en de totale route op sd-kaartjes gezet, voor het navigatie-apparaat. Kunnen we tenminste niet verdwalen. Het aftellen is dus begonnen. Wij houden jullie op de hoogte. -

Hé avonturiers,
Nog een paar weken van checken, spanning, niet slapen, enz, en dan gaat het echt beginnen! We weten dat jullie er dan ook al maanden naar uitkijken!
Wij hopen dat jullie elke dag gaan genieten en we zullen uitkijken naar jullie verslagen van de toer en duimen voor droog weer!
